It all started when her passion for development met her Love for ceqa.

Stephanie Smith is a CEQA and Land Use attorney based in San Diego. After graduating at the top of her class at Pepperdine Law she honed her legal skills at the global law firm of DLA Piper in Los Angeles. Following her time at DLA Piper, Stephanie decided to spend some time inside a public agency to understand how local governments approach development and CEQA. While at the County of San Diego she represented the development services and parks departments working primarily on CEQA and land use related issues for large land use and public development projects. After witnessing a need for CEQA and Land Use counsel, Stephanie formed the law firm Grid Legal, where she enjoys providing solution oriented advice and representation to her clients on CEQA and Land Use matters.
